Branding is one of the coolest things we do at MiU. It starts with (brand new and powerful) names and slogans that blow minds. The first name we had to think up was for our own ‘baby’. She was ‘born’ back in the summer of 2009. Let me tell you about how we came up with the name MiU.
When we started our business, we were willing to change the game. Forget about all the nasty stuff such as deception, negative manipulation and getting people into tricky deals. Why don’t we solely focus on all the positive tactics and tricks marketing psychology has to offer? It sounds as a brilliant goal: booking progress by helping others succeed. Here are a few points that explain the name.
- MiU (pronounced as ‘me-u’), basically stands for Me & You. We want to be engaged in win-win relationships, book progress together with our customers.
- MiU is marketing 3.0. In our branding activities, we value horizontal communications and relations. ”Consumers are the new owners of brands.” MiU is a statement, saying customers should hold a strong position in brands.
- Brands should have character. Marketing values should be embedded in your organization and ‘lived’ by your employees. It is what connects Mi & U.
- The 3.0 era enables us to collaborate and co-create. In stead of thinking about concepts solely, companies try to enable consumers to participate in creations. Co-creation lets consumers help you build products to their wishes and benefit from their feedback.
- Finally. what does a good marketing 3.0 mission consist of? You should create by performing business as unusual, then you should introduce a compelling story that could be shared, and finally you realize your mission by empower consumers. Yes, you should do this together!
Let me ask you: do you think you are the U in MiU?
